About the linguistic luminary who’s giving this advice
Why hello there, I’m Dan
Dan is a dynamic, goal-oriented team play—ahem, sorry, I switched to third-person jargon mode there. Let’s go again.
My name’s Dan. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I started Junk the Jargon to make business writing a little more interesting.
I’ve worked as a writer, journalist and copyeditor for over a decade. At the moment, I’m a features writer at Pipeline Magazine and the British English copyeditor for Rosetta Stone (the language app, not the rock).
I always like to hear from readers, so do get in touch if you like the site (and if you don’t…especially if you don’t).
